How to Use This Site

This page is intended to be used by CTR Users as well as by provincial partner IT groups in order to prepare for upcoming releases of the Canadian Transplant Registry, access documentation for what is currently in use, and quickly check the availability of accessible CTR environments.

In sections below, you will see a live display of environment availability status, a list of upcoming scheduled changes to CTR environments, resource documents intended for both users of CTR as well as partner IT developers/testers, and links to all available CTR environments and their current setup.

Upcoming Events

• 2026-09-23

• Notice: Planned Maintenance on CTR Infrastructure - *POSTPONED - New date to be determined*

  Please note that maintenance on infrastructure that supports the Canadian Transplant Registry will be performed on Wednesday, September 23 from 11:00pm ET to Thursday, September 24 at 5:00am ET.
  No service outage is required for this work, but users may be disconnected from the CTR, and need to log back in. In the above situation, unsaved data would need to be re-entered.

• Update: CTR 5.8.12.2 Release Notes are now available in the Future Release Documents section.

• 2026-09-27

• Outage Notice: Planned Updates to the Infrastructure of the Canadian Transplant Registry - *POSTPONED - New date to be determined*

  Please note that there will be a planned service interruption of the Canadian Transplant Registry starting on Sunday, Sepember 27 at 7:00pm ET and ending on Monday, September 28 at 7:00am ET.
  
  During this timeframe, the CTR will be inaccessible.
  

• 2026-09-29

• UAT Upgrade - Time Zone Patch - TrainProd - 11:00am ET *COMPLETE*

  TrainProd will be upgraded to v5.8.12.2.
  This patch is required to support a change to how time will be observed in Alberta as of November 1, 2026.
  Alberta will now be following the same time-zone change being implemented in British Columbia, and the CTR needs to be updated to ensure that Alberta-specific dates and times continue to be handled correctly.
  Environments will be offline during the refresh.

• UAT Update - HSP Kidney Export Threshold Adjustment - 9:00am ET *COMPLETE*

  All 14 CTR UAT environments will be updated with the new HSP Kidney export threshold values as determined by the Provincial HSP Kidney programs. Environments will remain online and accessible.
  

• 2026-10-13

• Maintenance Notice: Planned Updates to the Infrastructure of the Canadian Transplant Registry - UAT environments

  Please note that maintenance on infrastructure that supports CTR UAT environments, including TrainProd will be performed on Tuesday, October 13, beginning at 10:00am ET.
  
  Environments will be offline during the refresh.
  
  

  Production Update - HSP Kidney Export Threshold Adjustment - 6am ET

  CTR Production will be updated with the new HSP Kidney export threshold values as determined by the Provincial HSP Kidney programs. Environment will remain online and accessible.

• Maintenance Notice: Planned Updates to the Infrastructure of the Canadian Transplant Registry - UAT environments

  Please note that maintenance on infrastructure that supports CTR UAT environments, including TrainProd will be performed on Thursday, October 22, beginning at 7:00am ET and lasting approximately 2 hours.
  Environments will be offline during the refresh.
  

• 2026-10-29

• CTR PRODUCTION - Upgrade to 5.8.12.2 - 6:00am ET / RCT PRODUCTION - Mise à jour vers 5.8.12.2 - 06 h 00 HE

  CTR Production will be offline during the upgrade from version 5.6.13.0 to 5.8.12.1. Outage window has been set for 3 hours, though the actual upgrade is anticipated to be completed and released back to users in a shorter timeframe.
  
  

  Fresh Dataset from CTR Production

  On October 29th, 2026 (9:00am ET), we will be grabbing a fresh copy of the CTR Production dataset for installation in UAT environments as requested.
  

• 2026-10-30

• Upgrades and Dataset Refresh - TrainProd and UAT Prod (Beginning 10:00am ET)

  TrainProd will be upgraded to v5.9.x and refreshed with October 29th data.
  UAT Prod will be upgraded to v5.8.12.2.
  Environments will be offline during the refresh.
